Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law is a five-year program of ten semesters each which provides the knowledge of Law in the aspects of social sciences to its learners. It is the applied study of the legal environment in areas of humanities, trade and commerce, financial, administrative, fiscal, social security and cyber security, and core law areas.
Legal education in Nepal dates back to 1972 with the initiation of three-year Diploma in Law (D.L.) and a two-year Certificate Level (CL) program. Bachelor of Law course was started in Nepal by Tribhuvan University in 2010 AD. Today the curriculum in the undergraduate study of the Bachelor program in Law has been revised and updated. It is more scientifically designed to give light to not only the law from the core but all those areas in which law, and legal systems function and protect the rights of institutions, persons, property, and investments more pertinently. Bachelor of Art and Bachelor of Law five years course by Tribhuvan University (TU) is one such example of this.
