Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering | TU

Tribhuvan University offers an undergraduate degree in the field of aerospace which is termed a Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering. It is a semester-based course which is completed in 3 years. It comes under the division of Engineering.

The curriculum designed for this course relates to the activities involved with the aircraft such as art improvement activities, testing and technology, and also the maintenance of the crafts. Along with this, the course also teaches other activities which are related to aircraft. Some of them include aerodynamic features and aspects related to it such as airfoils, control surfaces, lifts, and drags.

This course also includes the techniques and procedures explained by the two great inventors of flying machines, Leonardo Da Vinci and the Wright Brothers. Furthermore, this course also provides complete knowledge of the development of visionary blueprints of modern jets.

In the course of aerospace engineering, students are taught the foundation of math and aerospace engineering, including some other engineering competencies such as undercurrents, thermodynamics, statics, and microchip technology. Additionally, this course is prepared to teach cutting-edge aspects such as aero-elasticity, fluid dynamics, and other theoretical knowledge which allows students to learn many things. At the same time it also prepares them to be industry-ready in the near future.

Objectives of Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering

The main objectives of studying Bachelor in aerospace Engineering are as follows:

  • To make students capable of tackling challenges and difficulties that are relevant in the field of aircraft.
  • To actively develop leadership skills that can be applied in engineering industry as well as government organizations.
  • To learn some advanced technologies and encourage new innovation that helps compete in global platforms.
  • To provide in-depth knowledge of the design and operation of aircraft necessary in the practical field through experienced and leading professionals.
  • To produce professional aerospace engineers having sharp skills in physics and mathematics.

Admission Requirements in Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering

There is a certain criterion fixed for the candidates who wish to study this program. In general, the candidate must have passed higher secondary examinations in the science stream with some major subjects such as Math, Physics, and Chemistry. Along with this, there is an entrance examination conducted by the Tribhuvan University. The candidate must go through the same and get qualified.

The short-listed candidates are then called for an interview and then the final decision is made for admission. Students for this program are only selected on a merit basis.
